This book is not fully legible on the Kindle; the text on the boxed sections [which are apparently of particular importance] is cut off by the box margins, so the paragraphs become unintelligible, which essentially renders the book, useless. I would like a full refund.

As a long time Exercise Physiologist, I have consistently found this book to be absolutely indispensable, and required reading and reference for all exercise professionals.

Great book, a little smaller than the last edition. As with any small paperback textbook, it's hard to open without bending the cover, and it never stays open anyway. I brought my copy to my local Kinko's to have it cut and spiral bound and covered for about $6. It's way easier to leaf through and set down without losing the page. Definitely recommended.

This edition has pretty much the same information as the last edition, but the layout is much easier on the eyes. The headings and format makes the information easier to follow.

As advertised. Will encourage buying used books from seller. I attached real pictures. Not the spiral book so I expected heavy bending but it wasn’t. Read thru. Minor blemishes that could be print issue. See photos for example.

Edit: I contacted amazon and explained what happened and how I wasn't happy and they are giving me a full refund. Amazon consumer service is amazing and I am so glad that they are able to do this. Star increase because of them.I thought that this book was a spiral version but I learned that it wasn't. I ended up getting it cut and made into a spiral book and now I can't even see all the words. Not happy at all and I wish I could return the book for a refund or to get the version that I truly wanted but it is probably too late now.

Just by reading the first few pages I knew I would love this book. It was exactly what I had recently went through with a guy and page after page I just kept saying 'yep, that happened' or 'yep, that's exactly how I feel' or ' had these kind of conversations with my girls'. This book is amazing and I'd recommend it to anyone! And I know I'm just going to continue to read and go back to it to remind myself of what I deserve.

I love Cici B. I saw her on instagram with posts here and there from her books and had to go on Amazon and buy all 3 books. She is honest, raw, and legit. I don't want to spoil it but anybody who has gone through a heartbreak should definitely read it. I don't think it's so much of a self-help book with steps on how to progress. Instead, it's more of an intimate story telling of what our author went through and how she found light through it. I felt as if I was her girlfriend going along the way!

I love this book. Going to buy the others. Be prepared to cry while you’re reading and thinking of your own problems lol

Wow was this book just kind of OKAY. As a student, this book was easily read and understood but was also frustrating with how long it would take to explain things. Some chapters could be cut in half if all the foo foo was taken out.Pros:Chapters were organized nicely, set the student up well for learningHad a lot of great boxes and summaries at the end of each chapterComprehensiveCons:Sometimes a little TOO comprehensive.... I felt like there were things that the book explained too well and important things that were explained very vaguely. My professor felt the need to give us endless handouts because some of the information was insufficient.Online resources- ONE BIG JOKE. Not worth the work of setting up and account.Hard back and absolutely huge. Probably one of the bigger text books I've had to get.

This book reads well, in a subject area where turgid prose is the rule. It begins with topical sections giving a good overview, each of which can be read in an hour or two. Then it proceeds on a journey down the length of the Nile. Although I needed to read more specialized books, at the price of turgid prose, to delve deeply into some aspects of Egyptian prehistory, I regret that I had not started with this one. This book will do nicely as the ONLY or the FIRST book on Egypt in one's library, depending upon one's needs. Having read several books on Egypt previously ,which lacked good maps, the topical maps in this book justify the entire expense.

If you are interested in ancient cultures as I am this is a great addition to your studies. It gives you a visual element to what can be just words on a page.
